I think the course sounds like it will be interesting overall. I think it will work very well for developing writing skills, especially for research papers. I like the focus on the internet the class offers.

I am excited for this semester! I think “The Rise and Fall of Atlantic Slavery” is going to be my favorite course this semester. The topics seem interesting and I look forward to some discussions over the texts. I expect to grow as a writer and make friends.

I am looking forward to taking this class and developing a deeper understanding of the concept of slavery, how it came about, and its effect on the world. I chose my subtopic to be that of Racial Ideology because I am hoping that it will also give me a chance to focus, not only on which concept (racism or slavery) came first, but to see how slavery has influenced the judgement of all races involved.

The course workload looks a bit heavy to me, but doable and well worth it – Inhuman Bondage is fascinating so far. Looking forward to some great discussions!

I just switched into this class yesterday, but I’m looking forward to meeting everyone! From what I’ve seen and read so far, the course material and assignments will be interesting. I particularly think the Internet-based assignments will complement the course and our understanding of the material.
